About Us

Composite of CSTI research imaging: fluorescently labelled stem cells, tumour cells and brain tissue arranged around an illustration of the human head and brain.

The overall mission of the Center for Stem Cell and Translational Immunotherapy (CSTI) is to develop and test novel targeted cell-based immunotherapies for cancer. CSTI capitalizes on the unique expertise of its faculty and fellows in interdisciplinary research spanning stem cell, immune cell and tumor cell biology, cell signaling, genetic engineering and molecular imaging, as well as our proven abilities to synthesize new insights from disparate fields and to lead interdisciplinary teams into new territory.

CSTI is part of Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, and is directed by Dr. Khalid Shah.
